Chardonnay From Another Planet (Actually, From Tuscany) | Notes From The Cellar

I tasted a Chardonnay from Rocca di Castagnoli in March…it was good.  Rocca di Castagnoli is in a high elevation Chianti Classico micro-climate (Gaiole) with galestro soils…READ minerals.  I loved it, and I’m not embarrassed, dang it.

But you would have thought I stole some dinnerware at the estate with the looks I got from my collegues when I said I liked it…SORRY, it was good.  Acidity, freshness, aromatic intensity…tasted better than much of the garbage from Cali.  COME ON.
